India has always excited the imagination of artists. One of the most famous musical compositions, the opera-ballet "Gallant Indies", dedicated to this exotic country, was created by composer Jean-Philippe Rameau. Multi-percussionist Petr Glavatskikh, inspired by the music of J.-F. Rameau and his ideas about India, presented his musical India. Bollywood superstar and classical Indian dance kathak dancer Shriya Saran performed together with her teacher, the legendary guru Nathan Padvarghan. The concert also featured the Indian ensemble "Hindustani" of Pavel Novikov and the ensemble of baroque soloists under the direction of Ivan Velikanov. To combine a traditional orchestra of the Indian North, a baroque orchestra, a drum orchestra and marimba - this is something only Petr Glavatskikh can do, who is called the "ideologist of the modern drums in Russia". By the way, in this project Peter was responsible not only for ideology. He had the most dangerous mission on stage - to embody, with the help of percussion, the spirit of the music of the "savages" (that is how tolerant Europeans called representatives of other cultures). The director of the concert was Elizaveta Moroz.
